Ava Lovell is a solo artist from Southampton, Hampshire, United Kingdom. She performs in public at small band venues and charity events.
We spoke to Ava about her music. When talking about the video below, Ava said, “This video was recorded at Stu Simpson’s studio. He was very close to my dad and produced my dads band’s music.”
Ava, can you tell us about your music and your background?
“I love playing and singing Billie Eilish and Sasha Sloan music at the moment. Ryan Gosling has influenced me and I sang City Of Stars at my dads Funeral.
My dad is my biggest influence as he taught himself the guitar and piano and had a beautiful voice too. He was the lead guitarist in a band.”
Have you had any formal musical training?
“ABRSM grades 1-4 in singing and ive started grade 5. I’m also learning the piano and I’ve up to Grade 3 ABRSM.”
When did you start playing music?
“I started when I was 5 years old”
Does anyone else in your family play music?
“My dad massively inspired me. I loved singing along to music with him.”
What are your most notable performances?
“Glennfest charity events in 2018- mental health fundraisers in memory of my dad.”
What was your most interesting or memorable moment as a musician?
“I am the current voiceover of Suzy sheep in Peppa Pig.”
